La Roche-Posay launches a mobile app that gives you information and prevent the risks of sun exposure
It might surprise you the question you have raised, but how could it be otherwise in full technological revolution, the answer is yes. We live surrounded generation mobile phones that include applications for all tastes and needs, and one of the last aims inform and warn about the harmful effects of the sun on our skin.
Who? The charge of developing it was the signing La Roche-Posay, who has been committed to the prevention of diseases of the skin caused by sun exposure, including skin cancer, with a cure in 90% of cases if diagnosed early.
How? To help people to be alert, La Roche-Posay now created two tools that provide information on all aspects to consider for care: a new website (http://www.myskincheck.es/index.asp ) and a new application for iPhone (My UV Check), available for free from iTunes.
What is? My Skin Check is an informative and interactive website developed by a group of dermatologists that, through it, you can do a number of questions about the characteristics of your skin and receive personalized advice. All with a clear objective: to raise awareness of what can be done to prevent skin cancer, help the user to locate any suspicious mole and invite you to consult your dermatologist, as it is the only one that can provide a definitive diagnosis. It also has all the necessary information to be very up to date with any dermatological diseases, skin cancer, moles ... - and teaches and advises on how to perform regular browsing sessions.
And meanwhile, the iPhone application "My UV Check "is a complement to the website with which you can set alarms to warn of the need to reapply sunscreen, check which requires skin factor of each family member, and even know the force that has the sun at all times, thanks to an option to check out the weather forecast and the level of UVA - UVB. This information is complemented by a clear and concise explanation of the specific risks involved in the sun at all times and provides a series of tips to protect yourself from it. The application also includes a pharmacy locator and includes a selection of games for children, with the aim of educating the younger members of the importance of using sunscreen.
