Meaning and Definition of Muscle Tone | Its importance

Tone is a word of Latin origin that may evoke a State of tension (Physiology) or energy see force and spring (in the psychological or figurative sense): "Sometimes, Daniel lack of tone."
Muscle, meanwhile, is an adjective relating to or associated with the muscles. A muscle is an organ that is composed of contractile fibres and happens to communicate with the bone / skeleton (in the case of skeletal muscle) or with devices (visceral muscles) or body structure.
Means the permanent state of passive partial contraction muscle tone and continues muscles. It's the State of rest of the muscles which helps to maintain the posture of the body for each movement.
Muscle tone is reduced during sleep due to relaxation, and increases again to wake up. The stretch reflex (myotatic says) and motor units are needed so that the muscles can regulate and maintain the State of rest.
The State of contraction also depends on unconscious nerve impulses. During traction, for example, muscle tension is increased automatically so that the body can maintain the balance and to protect it from danger.
The maintenance of muscle tone requires no special effort since it is regulated by the unconscious activity of the nervous system.
