Order, from the latin ordo, is the placement of things to their proper place. The term is also used to refer to the correct disposition of things. Examples: "Martine, let your toys in order before your father comes", "with the little order there is in this room, you will have trouble finding your earrings", "I do not know how to put the disks in order.
Other uses of the term relate to the series or succession of things and the relationship of one thing over another: "To find the answer to the Riddle, we must solve the equations in a certain order", «the manager suggested I store invoices in chronological order», «the researchers found no order in the settings followed by the serial killer.
Order, on the other hand, is a binding mandate or a peremptory instruction compulsory execution: "this is the last time that I say: finish your homework.". This is an order! », «The boss ordered me to not pass calls during the meeting», «I accept orders from anyone.
For Botany and Zoology, the order is each of the taxonomic groups in which can divide a class. Orders, in turn, are subdivided into families. This means that the order is the category that is located between the class and the family.
For the Catholic Church, religious orders are organizations whose members committed their lives to God.
Public order, finally, is all the principles and institutions that govern the social organization. Those who violate public order infringe the existing legal order.
