John Singer, known by his stage name Giò Di Tonno, was born in Pescara on August 5, 1973. Soon begins to approach the music: just eight years studying piano. During the years of high school his passion for music brings him closer to the figure of the singer, as a poet who tells singing. For two years, from 2002 until 2004 Giò Di Tonno plays the protagonist Quasimodo in the Italian version of the successful musical by Riccardo Cocciante "Notre Dame de Paris". In 2005 then lends his voice to interpret two songs in Italian soundtrack column "Chiken Little-Amici per le penne", Disney cartoon. In the only Italian date of one of the Queens of soul world, Dionne Warwick, March 25, 2006 in Vicenza, tuna opened his concert.

In April 2007 he participated in the filming of the third series of the television drama "a case of conscience" (directed by Luigi Perelli) where John is the protagonist – along with Sebastiano Somma-an episode in which he plays the lead singer Danko. In 2007 she played the characters Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the musical "Jekyll & Hyde" produced by Teatro Stabile d'Abruzzo and Teatromusica Mamò. Singing also in musical fairy tale "the ogre" by Giorgio Bernabò, show that sees the participation of Antonella Ruggiero and Patrizia Laquidara.
