The card mother or motherboard on a computer is one that has been printed circuits of the device and allows the connection between the microprocessor, support electronic circuits, memory slots and other additional devices.
In computer science it is called motherboard or motherboard to the device of greater importance which is located on the circuit of a computer or computer since it facilitates the connection between different electronic units of the same and allows the use of the appliance with fluidity. It is a fundamental part in all kinds of computers and other electronic devices.
The motherboard or motherboard meets vital functions for the computer, such as the physical connection, administration and distribution of electric power, data communication, timing and synchronism, control and monitoring and other.
Usually, the motherboard is installed a basic software called BIOS that allows the execution of these functions.
Plates or more known and used cards include the XT, AT, Baby AT, the ATX, the LPX, mini ITX, nano ITX, the BTX, the WTX and many others.
Each motherboard, in turn, consists of a socket, socket memory, chipset, a slot, a connector of different types, the ROM BIOS, CMOS RAM, a front panel, a battery, a crystal of quartz, a COM1, a LPT1 and some other components.
