What is the Meaning & Definition of Graffiti

Understood as one of the most popular and features today, graffiti urban art expressions is nothing more than a drawing or a painting artwork made in the pairs and the street walls. Thus, the graffiti does not move or sample within intellectual or private art circles, but it is characterized by being exposed publicly so that everyone sees it and enjoy every day. Graffiti is usually anonymous and may have different objectives in regards to the reason for its realization: while some are purely artistic, others are political formulations, others protest and many others are simple messages without major pretensions. The word graffiti comes from the Italian and is related to the idea of graphite or graphic expression. One of the most characteristic elements of graffiti is exactly, it is always in graphic and visual way. In general, graffiti does not follow artistic rules more than the same freedom of expression of the author, and that's that while some are really complex and true works of art, others are simple phrases written with some violence on the walls or doors of business.
It is estimated that the graffiti are always performed by generations younger who are opposed to the conservative and institutionalised world of adults. In this sense, in many countries the graffiti is a crime which is considered dirt or damage to private property. However, in different places, graffiti is already integrated into the urban fabric and is considered to be a real and important form of popular cultural expression.
Today, graffiti have been reinvigorated in many cities since stencils of great complexity and infinite designs are used to establish ideas or points of view. Some of them are funny, others have an important irony, but everyone does it from the artistic side that must be taken into account beyond the fact itself of graffiti.
