What is the Meaning & Definition of Robot

We understand by robot to all those machines or devices artificially created by man with specific objectives. The robots are usually built in the likeness of human beings or of different machines that man has invented in the history for different types of activities. One of the most important and ever-present robot, features is, then, the not to refer to itself and not having an operator if not depending on in greater or lesser extent from the action of man. This action can be both direct and indirect on the robot. You could say that all the creations of the human being in terms of machines and technology should be considered as robots since all always represented different modes of activities through orders given by human beings. However, often the idea of robot relate to more recent times, especially with the extremely sophisticated technological advances.
Perhaps another peculiar element with respect to the robots is that it seeks more and more through his resemble human beings. This is true both in terms of possibilities for action and also in aesthetic terms: current robots take forms more and more like the human being. This is the dilemma of the concept of robot through the interest that has the man to create equal, machines with whatever this may mean ethically.
But the robots are not only those machines similar to the human being, if not also a car, an airplane, or technological item can be created from robotics and have specific functions for each area. Robotics is the discipline that is in charge of work precisely in the creation and improvement of artificial forms that have specific functions and skills.
