Biography of Loredana Berté

One for which the war is never over

September 20, 1950 is not a lady, is constantly depressed and struggling with the alien world, difficult to manage and compromises. A portrait so suited, in our country, only to one person and one singer. We talk about the local par excellence, his Majesty rockstar Loredana Bertè. That, born on September 20, 1950 in Bagnara Calabra, from that small town started to conquer the throne of Italian music, at least in women. His is an all-female family, consisting of four sisters, one of which, on Sunday, will become famous under the name of Mia Martini. It's the mid ' 60 that Loredana begins to take its first steps in show business and precisely from the "Piper", the famous Roman nightclub for a period saw her strangely protagonist. Her, so wild and rebellious, amid all those rich kids, side by side to "decadent" Nicoletta Strambelli, aka Patty Pravo? For goodness sake, that could only be a fatally short. And so, met in the meantime another outsider like Renato Zero, slowly begins to climb the steps of Fame. Chosen both by Don Lurio, are part of the so called "Collettoni" by Rita Pavone in its broadcasts, then it was the turn of musical: first "Orfeo 9" by Tito Schipa Jr., then getting together in so scandalous Italian version of "Hair", historical musical by burning issues in that period, including the Viet Nam war. But the talent of Loredana Bertè is in music, and in 1974 he released his first album: immediately scandal, because we will have to fight with Loredana conformists for quite a while ... "Streaking" is the title and Loredana appears naked on the cover. It's just the first in a long line of complaints: the cover was changed, but also the ostracism of then meets public radio, disinclined to transmit songs from strong lyrics. The real exploits of Loredana Berté takes place one year later, in 1975: the single "you're beautiful" achieved great success and today is considered-with merit-a classic of Italian music. The song was included in the album "regular or Super" of 1976; in 1977 "T.I.R.", her third LP. Despite Mario Lavezzi artistic production which will be his partner in life and work for several years, and despite some already visible commitment is musical in both texts, the true consecration of Loredana Bertè singer and interpreter comes in 1978 with the publication of a 45 rpm signed Ivano Fossati, newcomer author as well as part of a group for the times a little underground "Delirium", entitled "Dedicated". For some sort of a political manifesto, one of the most beloved historic Loredana a piece by herself. The song will be part of a splendid album, "BandaBertè" (1979) which will confirm Loredana as one of the protagonists of the Italian rock scene and you will see inside prestigious collaborations: in addition to the previously mentioned Ivano Fossati, Pino Daniele, Alberto Radius, the couple Battisti-Mogol, Avogadro, Lavezzi, etc. "... and the Moon knocked" is the album's most popular track and more historical piece in the Repertoire of Loredana , first and perhaps only singer to use sound reggae in Italy. The great collaborations over the next album and in the following years will be numerous. From Ron to Renato Zero, by Mia Martini to Gianni Bella up to Enrico Ruggeri ("Il mare d'inverno"), the Brazilian composer Chico Buarque, Bruno Lauzi, Corrado Rustici, and many others. In 1980 he made "Loredanaberte" with the enthralling piece trawl "on the high seas" and then once again exceeding two years later with the huge success of "Non sono una signora", sealed the victory at Festivalbar. "Moving", the next album, is one of the most beautiful and intense records. This is on top of the gloomy singer, from which he could only follow a decline--albeit brief--marked by several attempts to return to the limelight (like the fake baby bump shown an edition of Sanremo). In 1989 materializes instead the specter of despair and depression in shape of tennis player Bjorn Borg: a love story, which threatened to destroy psicologimante, especially after the abandonment of him, the national Loredana. It is a symbol the aggressive and bitter single "Amici I", a song that says it all about his existential situation (not even mitigated by even slight ironic overtones). Bailey House dramas, however, did not have to end here. In May 1995, beloved disappears-hated sister Mia Martini that has always stuck on some post-Grad looking for a completely personal success, far from the shadow of the cumbersome relative. The tragedy marked deeply the already proven singer. Music by Joel still doesn't stop. The following album, "officially missing," Loredana debuted as a lyricist. The album "A fighter" and "Robin Decidedly Loredana" autobiographical pieces that reveal the last fully contain Bailey. Since 1998 there is a sudden stop, maybe a pause for reflection to find herself. It will be the 52nd Edition of the Sanremo Festival to return it to his fans, who promptly, casting doubt on that Throne from which, in fact, has never dropped. The 2004 relaunched Loredana Berté with the tv show "Musicfarm"; In addition, its "high seas" has been revived and remixed to compose "Waves of luv", one of the many summer catchphrases that inflamed the Italian clubs. Participates in Sanremo 2008 and bursts a case: the song has, and which is entitled "music and lyrics" is actually "ultimate secret", a song sung by Ornella Ventura twenty years earlier, in 1988, and produced by Tullio De Piscopo together with Alberto Radius, which is also the author. RADIUS, Formula three, but also the historical leader of the author of "music and lyrics": bursts so a singular episode of "these" leading to the disqualification of Loredana Berté. Back on the stage of San Remo 2012 with the song "Breathe" written and sung by Gigi D'alessio.
