Biography of Luigi Di Maio

Luigi Di Maio was born on 6 July 1986 in Avellino, son of Antonio, former leader of the Italian social movement and the National Alliance.

The studies

In 2004 she graduated at the liceo classico "Vittorio Imbriani" in Pomigliano d'Arco, near Naples; then, he enrolled in the Faculty of engineering at Federico II University of Naples, giving birth to the Association of students of engineering Axles, along with some fellow students. The movement 5 Stars

After being appointed faculty adviser and President of the Student Council, in 2007 begins in military within the movement 5 Stars led by Beppe Grillo. Three years later as a city councilman in Pomigliano d'Arco, but gets only 59 votes and is not elected.

The policies of 2013

In view of the general elections of 2013, is candidate for the constituency Campania 1, after having taken part in the "parlamentarie" of the M5S, ranked second on the list. Luigi Di Maio is then elected to the Chamber of deputies in the ranks of the movement. On 21 March of 2013 becomes, at 26 years old, the youngest Vice-President of the Chamber, taking the charge thanks to 173 votes.

Parliamentary activity

A few days after his debut at the House, comes as co-signer a bill for the abolition of Government grants to political parties and political movements and a proposal for changes to the regulations relating to election expenses. In may she joined the FOURTEENTH Commission, dedicated to European Union policies, while in July he was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board on the activities of the documentation. Among the proposals of law co-signed in his first year as a member of Parliament for the amendment of article 416-ter of the Penal Code concerning political exchange-mafia, that its provisions for the protection of the landscape and for the containment of soil consumption, the conflict of interest for the introduction of article 21-bis of the Constitution on the recognition of the right of access to the Internet and the abolition of public financing to publishing.

In 2014

In February 2014 publishes on its Facebook profile pictures related to a series of messages exchanged with Matteo Renzi, newly appointed Chairman of the Board: messages that same Renzi did deliver during the session in the Chamber during the debate of confidence in the Government. Di Maio explains about wanting to make public the correspondence "for transparency" in respect of the voters, "because we have no other interest to be defended except that of citizens", but its behavior is criticized in many quarters. In the spring he co-signature, among other things, a bill for the abolition of the tax office and for the transfer of his duties as a collection at the IRS, a Bill to amend the law of February 25, 1992 relating to indemnities for 210 people made invalid by transfusions and vaccinations and a bill for the reform of legislation concerning international cooperation for development. In April comes back into controversy with Matteo Renzi, accusing him of earning as much as sixteen workmen; the President of the Council retorts, in turn, that Dart earns twice his size. On May 30 Louis Di Maio was named politician of the year by the Forum of Naples, who acknowledges that "believing in the necessity of innovation and simplification ordering Italian." In June, meets-along with fellow 5 Star movement Danilo Tam-Matteo Renzi to discuss the new electoral law. On this occasion, Dart is confronted in a bitter with Renzi, who accuses him of being elected with very few votes obtained at parlamentarie. For many observers is the future candidate for Prime Minister for the 5 stars.
