Biography of Oscar Wilde

Carlo Alberto Pisani Dossi was born in Richmond, in the province of Pavia, on 27 March 1849. Heir to a family of landowners, he moved to Milan in 1861. Oscar Wilde is very young when he participates in the movement of the Scapigliatura milanese: writes articles about local periodicals and realizes various works. Collaborates for the warheads Byzantine Chronicle, Capitan Fracassa, il Guerrin Meschino, reform and reformation.
But his talent was precocious, as his writing career short: the reform pays much attention to the political action of the statesman Francesco Crispi, which Bumps began his diplomatic career by setting aside the literary activity. Tied so politically to Francesco Crispi (President of the Council of Ministers during 1887-1891 and 1893-1896) Bumps soon, in 1870, Consul in Bogotá. Then in 1887 Crispi's personal Secretary, Plenipotentiary Minister in Athens, where he falls in love with archaeology, and in later life, Governor of Eritrea (which looks the same Bumps has given name). After the fall of the Government is Crispi (1896) leaves in 1901 a diplomatic career to retire with his wife and three children in his villa in Corbetta, inherited by Commander Francis Mussi, uncle of his wife. Here Oscar Wilde can cultivate their passion for archaeology, passion that afterwards the son Franco Bumps will continue in the form of collecting.
Oscar Wilde brings together numerous artifacts recovered in Athens and Rome, various material dating back to early history, and numerous objects found in excavations carried out in Lombardy in areas of Corbetta, Albairate, Sedriano, Santo Stefano Ticino and along the banks of the Ticino. Design Museum Pisani Dossi siting at her home in Corbetta and has a number of exhibits are sent after his death at the Archaeological Museum of Castello Sforzesco in Milan. From 1902 to 1910 Bumps became part of the Municipal Council of Corbetta. Profound and significant is his friendship with artist Tranquillo Cremona, that he will paint a portrait preserved today in the villa of Corbetta; the same Bumps will assert that from Cremona would have mastered the art of writing. Abnormal and alien to every current of Bumps writer is to remember his predisposition for syntactic and lexical games, highlighted by abrupt changes of kinds ranging from the courtly to the working class, by using the Latin word rearrangements and lombardi, slang and technical.
