Normally means by empathy to that feeling that is accompanying pain or suffering of a person who is in such a State. The person empathic/o is the one that demonstrates that feeling. When a person suffers from certain situation or cause, another person (famous or not the first) can feel empathy simply recognize that the State of suffering, pain or penalty is a characteristic and common State of the human being. Many times the empathy is confused with pity but in reality it is not that if it is not a notion of accompany even in feeling, that is emotional and not so perhaps verbally to the person who suffers.
The idea of empathy party on the assumption that all human beings, as rational beings we are aware at some level that the suffering, pain, worthwhile, discomfort or different feelings can occur us all eventually, regardless of that have passed or not by any situation with the same characteristics to that other person. By the awareness that we have we can realise in the majority of cases that is not friendly to that other person suffer and therefore the suffering of another person does evil ourselves also. It is at this time when feel empathy, i.e. when the feeling of pain is replicated in us.
Empathy is usually associated with social issues as to be able to feel it one must have some kind of contact with another individual who is not one's own. This is why empathy is also much linked with social relations and with the type of links that one throughout his life set, since those who most represent you those who are likely to be greater empathy generated in one depending on each situation.
