The harmful term is used to refer to all things considered to be dangerous or harmful to a subject. The notion or harmful of an element attribute can be applied in relation to its effect both on people as on animal or vegetable, i.e. on any living organism that can impair or damage so deep. In general, when speaking of a harmful element is is signaling that their endangerment is quite important.
The quality of harmful applies on any type of product or element that, proven way, is dangerous for the health or physical well-being of a person, animal, or plant. An element becomes harmful when it comes in contact with it, being able to give this situation both through skin contact as through inhalation, or consumption by error or accident. More health-damaging or harmful products are usually those that can be termed as compounds chemical, highly dangerous and deadly for most of living beings.
Although many products and chemicals harmful to health are elements with which there is no contact every day and which are used in specific situations, there are many other products that are in permanent contact with living beings. This has to do with the fact that can be used with a specific function, for example, the elements of cleaning. Although they do not generate deep damage to be used, its consumption is highly damaging and deadly if it happens.

One of the clearest examples of this situation is the cigarette that, consumed in high doses and in a constant way, generates serious problems in health.
