Output: Compendium of definitions and concepts
Definition of OutputOutput is a concept of the English language which has been included in the dictionary of laReal Academia Española (RAE). This term is often used in the field of lainformatica to refer to the data resulting from a process.
An output or output consists of information that is issued by a computer system. This means that the data in question "out" of the system, either through a digital format (a video file, a photograph, etc.) or even in some material medium (a printed sheet, a DVD).
The process typically includes, as a first step, laentrada or input of information into the system. For this, it is possible to use a keyboard, a mouse, a scanner, or other devices which enable to enter data to the computer (computer). Already within the system, the information is manipulated and processed until the user, finally, decided to specify the output. It is then when the aforementioned output is generated.
In the macroeconomic field, the concept of output refers to products and services that are generated within the framework of an economy. The output, in this sense, is elresultado of a production process.
There is a model developed by economist Wassily Leontief (Nobel Prize winner) through which the various interactions that exist between sectors forming an economy are reflected. According to this model input-output, when unaindustria produces an output of goods, another receives this output, generating the corresponding input.
Concept of OutputThe output is the term denoting either an exit or changes that come out of a system and which activate / modify a process. It is an abstract concept that is used in modeling, design system (s) and operating system (s).
Types of output
In control theory, a system outputs are what can be measured. In particular, the products differ across many States.
In the production engineering can refer to:
Output power or a machine work.
An output observable, such as distance or speed, a mechanical system.
In equity theory, the output is the benefits received by an employee, including money, prebendas, power, status, fame or variety.
In human-computer interaction, the output is the information produced by the computer program and perceived by the user. The type of output that the program does, and the types of input of the program accepts, define the user interface of the program. In this context, feedback and output are used interchangeably. However, production tends to refer specifically to explicit output, something that is intentionally provided by the user, while feedback also includes by-products of the operation that happen to contain information (see discrete feedback).
In information processing, output is the process of transmitting information or information transmitted itself. The output of a process may well form another processor of information input. Essentially, output is any information coming out of a computer system. This could be in the form of printed paper, audio, video. In the medical industry that this might include CT scans or x-rays. Typically, in computer science, data are entered through various forms (of entry) to a computer, data is used many times, and then present the information to a human being (of output).
In economics, the production is the amount of goods and services produced by a company, industry or country during a specific time period, e.g. one year. A distinction is made between the gross and net production.
In telecommunications, the output may refer to: the information retrieved from a functional unit or from a network, usually after some processing.
A State of output, or sequence of States.
Relative to a device, process or channel involved in the production of data by a computer or by any of its components.
