The term Protocol includes several meanings, in the meantime, the most familiar and current use by the common people refers to the set of behaviors and rules that a person must observe and respect when it moves in certain official areas either as a matter of special circumstance either because holds any position that leads to pass through these.
Generally, those persons who hold any executive position of relevance in a country such as a Minister, a President or a diplomat must respect and take account of specific issues that make not only good manners or issues only with the attitudes, but also to those things a little more frivolous, such as clothing, but that in certain cultures or societies are in strict compliance with and that do not pass all unnoticed in the eyes of those who respect and demand respect the protocols.

All this which I commented more above in terms of Protocol that human relations must be observed in areas most of all officers. However, there is also a protocol in other media in which all commoners we regularly move and that it should also be respected and observed. Thus for example, the social, political, academic, military and work environment must respect other issues that have nothing to do with hats, but with the respect and obedience to certain charges considered above as it may be the case of the military. Indeed, in hierarchical organizations as the forces armed or security, the structure of the Church and, to a lesser extent, the school network, respect for the Protocol is not only well seen, but of specific performance. In a less pointed way, the residences of the health professionals in hospitals behave in a similar way.
In this sense, the word "Protocol" admits otherwise that worth noting, and is corresponding to preclinical or clinical trials for evaluation of a new drug or a new indication of a known medicament. Called trials in English and usually cited as "studies" in our language translations, these protocols are source of innovative knowledge in the health sciences and even in other disciplines such as psychology, sociology, and other areas.
It also prefers to call protocol sequence or organization of orders or data. Therefore, there are computer protocols, protocols for the disposal of a civil or commercial building home of various procedures and protocols other series of small-scale armed or of national and even international level. In this way, the Protocol is a true polysemic concept which must be interpreted in the field and right circumstance to achieve the best results.
