Traditionally, the process of editing has been being done by the Publisher, not the author. In preparing technical issues closer to the standardization of the appearance of the product addressed for marketing reasons, i.e. adapt it tastes conventional consumers, or the limitations of the industry (size, colors, fonts), that the creative process or to the idea of final appearance original from the author. For example, a writer not used to decide the font or the color of the cover of his book either an editor could introduce a typo in a book that originally did not have. However, the arrival of computer science and, above all, Internet, has made it possible that, in many cases, author and Publisher are the same person, giving this the absolute control of the product until it reaches consumers.
