Left-handed, why are they different?

Lefties have been stigmatized and persecuted throughout history, and not only by the Inquisition - who considered them possessed by the devil, since up to few years in Spain the left-handed was considered a defect that had to be removed, and forced the children who used the left they correct this bad habit as soon as possible and used to eat rightwrite, or perform any other task.
For that reason, and although it is estimated that around 10% of the world's population is left-handed and uses the left hand as dominant, many people who currently are right-handed, were actually born left-handed. Scientists are unaware of what occurs this peculiarity - although a 2007 study has linked it with a Variant genetic-, and do not know why males have almost one-third more likely to be left-handed than women.

Differences between left-handed and right-handed people.

But are there also no significant differences in the capacities of people as they are right-handed or left-handed? There are numerous myths and legends in this regard, but more likely is that the different skills of each other are connected with the different distribution of brain functions.
The human brain can be divided into two areas, and while the left hemisphere is responsible for controlling speech and language and logical and numerical information processing, the right hemisphere controls the emotions. In the majority of those writing is regulated from the left side, which is controlled right hand, while in the case of the left-handed law does, and in addition, the functions of both hemispheres are more spread.
The right hemisphere of the brain - related with the genius and creativity - is more active in left-handed people, and makes them more apt to view the whole of a problem and perform several tasks at the same time
The superiority of left-handers in some sports (such as tennis) should be, according to experts, the right hemisphere - which controls the hand left - is more specialized in tasks of spatial vision, so the athlete who uses that hand has the advantage of power controlled movement of the extremity and the vision of the play from the same side, while the right-handed need to pass the order to attack with the right hand to the left hemisphere.
Also has been linked to the left-handed with more creativity because the right hemisphere of the brain - related with the genius and creativity - is more active in left-handed people, and makes them more apt to view the whole of a problem and multi-task at the same time, also favoring their artistic abilities.
On the other hand, in a world designed for right-handers, left-handers have been forced to adapt and train your brain to overcome the daily difficulties, forcing to allow greater interaction between both cerebral hemispheres. What is amply demonstrated is that lefties are much more working with your right hand to the right with the left.
