Maderoterapia, sculpt your body and balances your energy

The maderoterapia, as its name suggests, is a therapy that involves the application of a massage through the use of various utensils of woodof different sizes and shapes, and especially designed to adapt to different parts of the body.
It is considered a holistic technique, able to stimulate and balance the energy, reduce stress, and relieve muscular pains and joint. The use of this therapy, has also spread for aesthetic purposes, since it can also be used to firm and tone the body, and to reduce localized fat and fight cellulite.
The maderoterapia already, therefore, applies in many centers, aiming to reaffirm and to shape the figure. Each session lasts about 20 minutes, and experts say that you can see changes from the third session, although they recommend a full cycle of 15 sessions for satisfactory results.
The maderoterapia session begins with a massage that allows you to prepare the skin and remove accumulated fat. Then the therapist applies essential oils with properties and returns to massage the patient and, finally, makes the massage with the wooden accessories.

Instruments used in maderoterapia

The instruments that are used in maderoterapia, designed to adapt to different areas of the body, are made of wood because this material - one of the five elements of nature, already used by Eastern cultures to manufacture cookware for therapeutic purposes-, is considered to be beneficial to health.
These utensils, which at the beginning were heavy and difficult to handle, were perfected in the late 90s of the last century, which allowed that they could be used directly on the skin of the patient. The most commonly used accessories are:
  • Smooth roller. It serves to activate the circulatory and lymphatic system, and facilitates the removal of fat cells. There are different types of roller, which are chosen depending on how is patient and skin fat which present this.
  • Swedish Cup. It is used to treat localized adiposity and model areas like the waist, buttocks, thighs or abdomen.

Most popular maderoterapia treatments are: relaxing, anti-cellulite, facial, breast, and body. Its main applications are:

  • Maderoterapia's bust. It serves to firm and tone the bust, and to shape and increase the volume of the breasts.
  • Anti-cellulite Maderoterapia. Its objective is to eliminate the fat that accumulates in different parts of the body such as the hips, thighs or abdomen.
