The theme of the Da Vinci Code is a conspiracy of the Catholic Church, in order to hide the true story of Christianity in its early years, especially in regards to the life of Jesus and the relations he had with his disciples and María Magdalene; stated in the story that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had offspring, which could trace back to our days, and that this secret is guarded by a secret society called the "Priory of Sion". The Da Vinci Code is the attempts of a famous Professor of Harvard University called Robert Langdon, to solve the murder of Jacques SAUNIÈRE, an employee who worked in the Museum of the Louvre, who appeared dead in a wing of the Museum with her naked body, with a written message, and with the drawing of a Pentagram on his stomach with his own blood. The solution to the problem raised in the Da Vinci Code is related to the aforementioned secret society, the Priory of Sion, and in addition with the Holy Grail and the Knights Templar.
In the Da Vinci Code, Jacques SAUNIÈRE was the Grand Master of the Priory of Sion, and therefore who knew where he was the secret that would lead to the Holy Grail, and other documents that estremecerían the foundations of the Christian faith, and he was killed in order to extract the information that he knew, and therefore wipe off the map to the Priory of Sion. However, this character wrote a message before his death which said you will find Robert Langdon. The other lines that contained the message of SAUNIÈRE were: a Fibonacci sequence in disorder (the Fibonacci sequence is that each number series is the sum of the previous two: 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,...), and two logos that they meant "Leonardo Da Vinci", and "The Mona Lisa", more a of the most famous paintings by the Italian Renaissance artist. This made it sought the secret in the painting above, which led to other problems of puzzles in the Da Vinci Code, which finally led to a key that opened a safe deposit box in the Bank of Zurich, where the number of SAUNIÈRE account corresponded to Fibonacci numbers. That led to a cryptic box within which would be the answer that would lead to finding the Holy Grail.
In the Da Vinci Code, is credited with the creation of the cryptic box to transport confidential messages to Leonardo Da Vinci. To open this box the combination of rotating components must have a certain order, through a secret key. If you try to force the opening of the box, a compartment of vinegar inside the box would open what would dissolve the message written on Papyrus. However, should keep in mind that the action of the vinegar to dissolve written messages is doubtful.
