Meaning and Definition of Ghost

Ghost is a term whose definition is quite complex and can refer to different entities. The most common use is associated with the image of a deceased person who, according to some, may appear to the living.

Examples: "my son is very afraid because he says he has seen a ghost", "this castle became famous when many witnesses reported seeing the ghost of an elderly lady on the inside", "I do not believe ghosts or anything that is considered to be supernatural.

Ghosts can also be images of objects that are printed in our fancy or chimeric visions that arise in dreams or our imagination: "its silhouette was like a ghost that appeared next to my bed and who disappeared immediately," "I still see the ghost of Alice hanging from the ceiling of the Chamber."

The threat of an imminent danger or something is missing or wrong are other ideas related to ghosts: "The ghost of cholera reappears in several Latin American countries", "La Justice investigate an operation commercial ghost which would have allowed the accused to wash away thousands of dollars ', Minister household funds for a fictitious company to appropriate money without any suspicion.

Cities or places unmanned, finally, may also be considered Ghost: "since the train no longer passes through here, we have become a ghost town", "it is a ghost club that organizes an event for two decades.
