What is the Meaning of Nervous system | Definition and What is Nervous system

ADS

A system is a module directed by elements which interact with each other and are interdependent. The term is used to designate all of concrete objects (material) and the set of abstract concepts (symbolic) with organization.
Nervous, incidentally, refers to what is bound or which belongs to the nerves (the set of fibers that conduct impulses through the different parts of the body).
These definitions enable us to make an approach on the nervous system, which is the network of tissues that capture and process signals so that the body can develop an effective interaction with the environment.
The nervous system performs three main functions. Sensory function is the ability to feel the stimuli (internal and external), while the function of integration is to analyze these stimuli, store information and drive a decision to this effect. Motor function, finally, is the response to stimuli by muscle movement, secretion from a gland, etc.
Neurons are the sole basis of the nervous system. These are specialized cells that coordinate the actions by chemical and electrical signals sent to the different regions of the body.
You can divide the nervous system central nervous system (CNS) and peripheral nervous system (PNs). CNS consists of the brain and spinal cord, integrates sensory information, generates thoughts and stores memory. The SNP, meanwhile, consists of cranial nerves (born in the brain) and spinal/spinal nerves (coming from the spinal cord) and transfers pulses.
