Central refers to what is relative to the Center. A nuclear power plant, therefore, is an industrial plant that can generate electricity from nuclear energy. Its operation usually occurs from the fissile material which, through nuclear reactions, acts as a fuel and provides heat for the movement of the generators that convert mechanical work into electric energy.
The nuclear reactor is a container made of a material insulation of radioactivity, which is filled with fissile material. The energy process is to generate a reaction prolonged and controlled from moderators known as auxiliary elements, which absorb excess neutrons released. Around the core of the nuclear reactor is a reflector that returns to the kernel part of the neutrons released during the reaction.
