Meanings, definitions, concepts of daily use

From the latin elogĭum, a eulogy is the praise of the merits and the positive qualities of a person, an object or a concept. Praise is a compliment that can be done as well in private than in public. Examples: "I am surprised to receive such praise from someone like you", "the press has not stopped to praise to describe the performance of the PSG player", "I was always told that I was a man temperamentally, what I consider a praise."
The praise has a positive effect on the mental health of the individual. Some psychologists believe that giving and receiving high praise is healthy and beneficial because it helps improve self-esteem. By receiving praise, one receives a positive influence on his personality and his character.
If a person starts to work and at the end of its first week of work, she received praise from his boss, it will be motivated to continue to work with as much momentum and goodwill.
The opposite of praise is critical. If the person in the previous example is criticized at the end of his first day of work, it may feel unmotivated and that she feels strong pressure that will eventually impair his performance.
In some cases, the praise and the criticism produce little or no influence on the individual. People who suffer from autism or schizophrenia, for example, are tight to verbal stimuli.
The use of praise and criticism reflects the subjectivity of the person who utters them. That can be laudatory one may go unnoticed or seem negative for the other.
