Who is Michael Crichton?


John Michael Crichton was born in Chicago on October 23, 1942 by John Henderson Crichton and Zula Miller.

Grew up in the suburb of Roslyn, on Long Island, has two sisters, Kimberly and Catherine, and a younger brother, Douglas, co-author in one of his books.

He studied at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he graduated in 1964.

Continuing studies getting a degree at Harvard Medical School in 1969 in medicine and surgery.

Already in these years writing his first novels; with a height well above average (206 cm) he likes to emphasize his point to aliases physicality: before John Lange ("Lange" is German for "tall person"), then Jeffrey Hudson (Sir Jeffrey Hudson was a well known "giant" at the Court of Queen Marie Antoinette of France in ' 700).

After his first professional experiences as a doctor, soon abandons his career not finding in this way complete personal fulfilment. He continues to write novels. Thanks to the money earned from the sale of the first books he manages to accomplish his great desire, to travel.

Apart from the various record sales (more than 100 million readers worldwide) also has a high number of wives: five (Suzanna Childs, Joan Radam, Kathy St. Johns, Anne-Marie Martin-mother and daughter Taylor-and the last Sherri Alexander).

Cancer, death took a sudden Michael Crichton the day November 4, 2008. The writer was working on the fourth episode of Jurassic Park, as well as having planned the writing of the screenplay of the film "Westword".
