The concept or notion of computer worm is very innovative as it arises in relation to the technologies developed in the latter part of the 20th century involving connection between different devices and virtual network known as the internet connection. The computer worm is normally described as a malware or software of malicious kind that is mainly characterized by expand quickly and easily in the files and programs from a computer generating different levels of damage in its wake. With the emergence and internet masivizacion, these worms are more routes of displacement, having greater chance of entering other computers and generate thousand times greater damage.
Another important feature of the worm is that it can double itself without the user aware of its existence, which if happens with computer viruses. This means that one can realize the possible presence of computer worms in his system when the situation is already very advanced and connection speed is so slow that prevents any type of activity that occurs. In the majority of cases, these worms or IW as they are known in English they bridle at the level of interconnectivity, affecting the normal development of the activities of a computer on that network and internet connections.
Several computer network connectivity, is vital to the existence and expansion of computer worms which facilitates their exit and multiplication through the network. While a computer that does not have internet access can not get rid of the virus, probably yes do the worms as they will not have support or to enter the system nor for recreation since there is no any connection or interconnection to the grid.
