What is the Meaning & Definition of degree

Depending on the context in which used it, the term grade will have different references. In general terms, the Word will be used degree to refer to each of the different States, values and qualities that can hold one thing in relation of greater or lesser.
In schools for example, each of the sections in which are grouped students by age, knowledge, among other issues, referred them to as degree. Initial grade, medium grade, first grade, second grade, among others.
Meanwhile, following in an academic context, but now in an upper stadium like the University, is called academic degree the distinction an institution awarded after the successful completion of a program of studies.
On the other hand, at the behest of mathematics and geometry, the term holds a special participation in them. Geometry is the unit of measurement for angles that equal to each of the 360 equal parts that a circle can be divided. In mathematics, more specifically in an equation or reduced to a rational, polynomial degree will be that of the term in which the variable is the greatest exponent.
And finally when climate, meteorology and temperature is about, the degree is the unit of measure through which temperature is measured.
