What is the Meaning & Definition of touch of remains

The curfew is a decision that a Government adopts as an exceptional measure in situations where there is a social upheaval with true danger. The political representatives of a city or a country enacted curfews in different contexts: street disturbances, revolutionary situations or any social situation where deemed necessary such measures to ensure public order. When this exceptional measure is annulled the curfew is lifted.

What sets and how it affects a curfew

During the period in force of the curfew prohibits the free movement of citizens, and therefore entails a restriction of individual freedom. To control the location of possible chaos, the streets are occupied by police or the army, who become the forces of the order. Obviously, its enactment is not without controversy: his supporters consider it useful to ensure safety and critics understand that it is a violation of a fundamental right and defend something unnecessary and unjust.
Its extraordinary character makes the imposition of curfew will look to other situations with some resemblance (in the State of alarm is intended to ensure national security to prevent epidemics or a possible shortage of food and there is motivation related to a possible invasion by a foreign army in the State of siege).

Curfew against crime

In some cities the youth crime rates are very high. To correct this tendency can be decided a partial curfew, i.e., limited to children under 18 years of age during some hours of the day, usually during the night. In this case, critics consider that there is a social discrimination towards a particular collective and radically opposed to this resolution. Those who approve the measure considered that it is "a lesser evil", i.e., something not desirable but necessary to prevent crime.

Two landmark cases that did not help at all

In 2014 the new Government of Thailand maintained the curfew for several months. This measure was adopted when a military junta took over political power to prevent possible protests. The consequences were negative for the tourism sector and for this reason it was decided to lift the order.
In the city of Los Angeles, there are social conflicts that appear recursively and to fight them has been considered appropriate to impose this extraordinary measure (thus occurred uniquely in 1992, with a balance of more than 50 deaths and about 2000 wounded).
