What is the Meaning & Definition of volume

With the term volume you can refer to several different issues.
First volume may be the space that it occupies a body in place, i.e., the amount of space that occupies your stuff and that due to the condition of impenetrable bodies not may be occupied by another body at the same time. But volume is also the intrinsic property of this matter that will enable us to distinguish one type of matter from another, one substance from another, since all have a specific volume.
In both and without having nothing to do with that mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the volume is the subjective perception of one person has any sound that you hear about. The intensity of sound is determined by sound power or energy that passes through a surface, the greater the power of sound per second, the higher the volume that will experience the sound of course.
The perception of any volume always follows a logarithmic scale which is measured in decibels and is determined by the level of acoustic power that holds each sound in particular.
And finally, the term volume has a special importance in the literary field or in the vocabulary of those people affected to the collection and reading of books, since it the term refers to the material body of a bound book, either containing the complete work or either one or some volumes that make up the same.
