Definition of high technology

Technology is a Greek concept that is composed of the words tekne ('art', 'technical') and logos ('set of knowledge"). The word is used to designate the knowledge to make objects and alter the environment. The notion corresponds to setting up scientific knowledge to meet human needs. Advanced technology means any technology that has been expanded recently and which is advanced (i.e., is the advance or something innovative from products which already exist).
Advanced technology begins with research in laboratories, in which the first prototypes are developed. Once their functioning is tested, the products are now ready to be switched on. In general, the launch price of the new technological creations is quite high at the beginning, and then decrease gradually.
Take into account that the idea of advanced technology means that it has more advanced to a given period. Over time, products continue to be innovative, become obsolete and eventually be replaced by other products. For some time, these new products will bear the designation of high technology.
Finally, this concept is associated to avant-garde. It's what is in first position or point the most forward, ahead compared to the others. For example, in the sector of mobile phones, devices that have exasperated today's cutting-edge technology are those who have a touch screen, an Internet connection, a high resolution camera and the ability to play music and videos, among other features.
