What is the Meaning & Definition of advent
The term advent is a term of Latin origin that refers to the return of something or someone. Our
current language, the concept of advent is used to designate or
appoint the arrival of a person, time or moment in a known manner,
which implies also a certain forecast and gives us to understand that
this advent brings some waiting behind. It is
very common to use the word advent in relation to religious issues,
especially in Catholicism when discussing the advent or the second
coming of Jesus. For Catholicism, the
second coming or advent of Jesus will be the most important event since
it represents the time in which the Prophet will come to find us all
definitively to lead us to a momentous life. This
second coming of the Lord is known as advent, since on the one hand
it's the return of Jesus, someone who already was on Earth according to
Catholics and, on the other hand, it also involves some waiting and
some hope that this is going to meet, i.e. which is not accidental. This
religious idea of advent is very common in all religions since it is
directly linked with the fact of having faith that at some point,
reality will see an explanation for what we live through the coming of a
prophet.
