What is the Meaning & Definition of Aerobic
Known as one of the most popular and fun today's sports, aerobics is a
physical activity that involves a high dose of energy expenditure
through dance or the follow-up of slogans and dance routines that put
into motion the body and allow you to spend many calories. Aerobics
can be taken in many ways and in a sense you could say that all sports
and physical activities include some aerobic whenever they mean to put
in motion the body. The term aerobics
is used to refer specifically to certain kinds of gymnastics or dance
based on the continuous movement of the body in full mode (unlike what
happens with some sports or exercises that focus on the movement only
at the top or the bottom of the body). Aerobics
executes normally dancing to the sound of a certain type of music that
guides the rhythm and establishes the steps to be followed. Aerobic
classes are always the most popular in gyms and exercise centers
because they are those that allow you to burn more calories through
continuous motion. These classes can be of
specific dances (as rock, salsa, swing and others) or if not merely the
construction of movement routines.
However, the aerobics is not only a type of class or discipline if not found in almost all sports as well as many physical activities aerobics since most of them involve moving from a State of rest to one motion. Walking, running, bicycling, swimming or some types of sport-specific such as soccer, volleyball and hockey are all activities that involve that movement and therefore a continuous energy expenditure.
