What is the Meaning & Definition of airline

An airline is an organization or company of air transport which is dedicated exclusively to the transport of passengers, cargo, or animals, through the use of an aircraft. Meanwhile, in regards to transportation of passengers we can find private companies that offer customers the shuttle service through the fleet of aircraft that feature and also with so-called flag carriers, such is the case of Japan Airlines, Aeroperu, to name some of the most recognized, which are airlines that offer the same service as the previous ones but are managed by Governments and they have the monopoly on domestic flights.
Anyway, within what is known as airline franchise service or flag, there are cases in which the participation of the State is not total, such is the case of Aerolíneas Argentinas, for example, in which the Argentine Government only has a small stake.
A recurrent issue that has triggered in countries with flag carriers is that they, as a result of the mismanagement of the State, have become loss-making and therefore proceeded to its privatization, freeing the market in this way and then allowing in the domestic framework operate other airlines also.
On the other hand, also within this complex known universe as airlines we can find with the charter, which are also companies who transport clients or group of clients through membership of aircraft but with a methodology more timely, i.e., according to the needs arising from customers will be organized the flight, the departure and arrival something which does not happen with a regular airline or flag already present schedules, departures and arrivals preset, must one sit to those settings.
This situation can also move to the airlines engaged in charge, since there are some who operate with fixed flights while others have the form of charter.
Airlines, depending on the size of the network of routes that operate and their frequencies are classified into: regional airlines (fly low and medium capacity aircraft, usually carried out domestic flights), network carriers (operate a large fleet of aircraft in this group includes the airlines of flags and the traditional) and large-scale Airlines (flying of great length and density).
