What is the Meaning & Definition of rock

Referred to as rock to that material which consists of a set, is already bonded or not, defined minerals and which are those that naturally are made the mantle and crust and also the equivalent of other Earth-like planets. The rocks can be composed by several species of minerals (rocks composed) or by a single (monomineralicas rocks). Mostly, the rock is a material very hard, although also some soft like argillaceous rocks and sand can be found.
As we said at the beginning, the Earth's crust is composed of rocks and this then we can distinguish three types: igneous rocks, which are those that are formed by the solidification of lava, metamorphic rocks, which were formed by the alteration in solid state's already consolidated in the Earth's crust rocks, i.e., were subjected to a very different from the training energy environment and finally the sedimentary they were created thanks to consolidation of sediments, which are materials from the erosion of rocks above.
A characteristic feature of the rocks is that they are always subject to changes as a result of geological agents affecting them, such as the aforementioned erosion, weathering and sedimentation.
On the other hand and based on material that composes the rocks point is very hard, the term rock is also used in other contexts when you want to give an idea of the hardness and consistency that holds a thing, object or person.
For example, when a person observes always, or on occasion, rigid and determined conduct that does not give rise to the slightest perception of the other, then, it is customary to say that that person is hard.
