Biography of Bruno Arena

January 12, 1957 the comedian Bruno Arena, known part of the duo "the prickly India" was born on January 12, 1957 in Milan. After attending art school, he graduated from the Isef and became a physical education teacher at a middle school in the province of Varese, Venegono Inferiore. In 1983 he starts performing in some comedy shows working as tourist entertainer, but the next year must stop because of a pretty serious car accident that involves him and that leaves him clear signs on the face: forced to endure several surgeries, you see partially impaired eyesight in one eye. In 1989 knows Casarez, between the beaches of Palinuro, Campania, Italy: it's August, and the two are among the prickly India of seaside resort. It is at that moment that comes the comic duo of figs of India. The two appear together on stage in a cabaret of Varese, the "meals". It's the start of their ascent, which leads them to take part in numerous evenings throughout Italy, between clubs, and in 1994 on Italy 1, where they take part in the tv show "Yogurt". Also become protagonists in 1994 and 1998, between the radio frequencies of Radio Deejay: Meanwhile the programme "La sai l'Ultima?", broadcast by Channel 5 joke race, and between 1996 and 1998 enliven the summer seasons of Aquafan in Riccione, entertained both children and adults. Star!", which will last until February of the following year by recording sold out in every city; Meanwhile, in November 1999 "Friends Raymundo", their first book: an instant success that allows them to climb the charts, thanks to over 500,000 copies purchased by readers. Their style clownish but never vulgar, coupled with the ease with which they improvise, causes the prickly India are requested by numerous transmissions: after being a guest of the "Maurizio Costanzo Show" and "Quelli che il calcio", by Fabio Fazio, soar even on the stage of the Ariston Theatre on the occasion of the 50th Edition of the "Festival di Sanremo". The cinema, meanwhile, began noticing Bruno Arena (which has already debuted on the big screen in "Wick" and also participated in "love at first sight") and Massimiliano Carroll: in 2001 he released the film "Friends Raymundo", produced by Filmauro, which applies to the couple on Talbot Prize awarded at the Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona (the two have the recognition of best performers emerging in the Italian comedy of 2001) but also the 2001 Giffoni Film Festival Award. On their return to the big screen materializes, at the end of that year, with "Merry Christmas" Christmas movie in which they appear alongside Christian De Sica and Massimo Boldi. At that point, even the most committed cinema sees them: in 2002, Roberto Benigni, who called them "the only real clown of 2000", he calls them to interpret the cat and the Fox in "Pinocchio". After completing their second cine-blockbuster, "Christmas panettone on the Nile", the prickly India return to theatre in January 2003, with the show "once upon a time ...", written in collaboration with Marco Parker and directed by Rinaldo Gaspari: the tour lasts until August, with applause on every stage. At the movies, however, never change a winning team, and so Bruno Arena and Max Carr for the third year in a row are co-starring del cine-panettone by Neri Parenti "Christmas in India", always on the side of De Sica and Boldi. After interpreting the film by Carlo Vanzina "jokes", starring Gigi Proietti, Max Giusti, Carlo Buccirosso and Enzo Salvi, figs appear in "Buona domenica", Maurizio Costanzo, and in July 2004 received the Walter Chiari as comedians of the year. Back on Channel 5 in "Buona domenica" next season, publish the book "cool + fig", published by Mondadori, and the dvd of the show "once upon a time ...". Returning to the stage with "Dwarfs, Princes and. .. Prickly India ", written with Mark Parker, directed by Cesare Gallarini. Guests, among other things, "you've got mail" and a "Distraction", preparing for the theatrical season 2006/07 the show "the condo", directed by Massimo Martelli and written with Sergio Cosentino. Landed for the first time in April 2007 to "Colorado Cafè" comedy aired on Italy 1, transmission, the prickly India return to the big screen with "Wedding in the Bahamas," cine-panettone which stars alongside Massimo Boldi and Enzo Salvi. After attending on Raiuno in outliers, with Carlo Conti, starting from 2008 enter the cast of "Colorado", where can be appreciated by adults and children with their parodies of the Smurfs, cooked and eaten and Shrek; in the same year, starring in "La fidanzata di papà", again alongside Massimo Boldi. The collaboration with "Colorado" lasts until 2012. Then, in 2013 the prickly India are invoked by Gino and Michele to get back on stage of "Zelig", where the couple interprets two candidates in the upcoming elections to contend with unrealistic promises: on 17 January, however, during the recording of the second episode of the show, Bruno Arena was hit by a cerebral hemorrhage. Emergency surgery immediately to the San Raffaele hospital in Milan, is transferred to a rehabilitation center this February 11.
