Biography of Arthur Hugh Clough

The English poet Arthur Hugh Clough was born in Liverpool on day 1 January 1819. Brother of Anne Clough-one of the first British suffragette and a promoter of higher education for women (died under mysterious circumstances, according to the latest surveys, poisoned by a lover who had left and that he had wanted to avenge)-is the son of an importer of cotton from America. Clough's favourite pupil of Thomas Arnold, headmaster who had reformed his secondary studies in England. Its existence is plagued by the disease that was supposed to bring intellectual early to the Tomb: religious issues, conflicts and dissatisfactions intertwine and make him a personality that anticipates the revolt to the Victorian era. Clough was shared of Italian freedom causes and his bear witness to this. Arthur Hugh Clough dies in Florence, returning from a trip to Greece, the day 13 November 1861.
