Habemus Capa

October 9, 1973
Michele Salvemini, better known as Caparezza, was born in Molfetta, Bari, on 9 October 1973. Italian singer-songwriter and rapper, is considered since 2000 one of the most talented music items on the national scene, for its great inventiveness and creativity in the composition of songs. Absolutely sui generis character, has been proven as conductor of tv formats, always a musical background.
His nickname, literally, in dialect, means "curly head". The origins of the most humble and bourgeois Molfetta are rappers. The little Michele was born in a common family of the coastal town of Puglia, Molfetta, the son of a teacher and a worker with a passion for music: musician for hobby into a band in the area. Among his early dreams, there is to be a cartoonist. However, when still a child, decides to enroll in a school of music, to take piano lessons. Does not last long, however: by his own admission, three months later, he abandoned the idea.
As a boy, he studied accountancy at the Technical Institute of hometown. Its most remarkable quality though, it's not about the numbers, but the creativity and just graduated from high school, he won a scholarship to the Accademia di Comunicazione di Milano. The patterns of the advertising world, as much as for an imaginative personality like hers, the young Michael are hostile and soon decides to give themselves permanently to the music, with the nickname of Mikimix. Is the 1996 when he debuted officially in music with "women in mini skirts".
During this period, in Milan, the future Caparezza is being done in various ways in the music world, especially as a rapper and composer of minimal tracks, however with little success. Leads on the young network Videomusic the format "smoke signals", with the presenter and music critics Paola Maugeri.
However, his first true debut, at least from the standpoint of live performance, is dated 1995, the Festival di Castrocaro. In the same year, still far from his true musical style, as well as from his own artistic identity, takes part in Sanremo Giovani, with the song entitled "only happens in the movies." Is still Mikimix during this time and in 1997, he returned to Sanremo, always among the "new proposals", with the song "and the night goes away." The album which follows this step, still far away from his future success, is titled "my lucky stars", produced by record company Sony.
Are all jobs that leave no mark. Back in his first adventure, reconsider its Molfetta in the music world, trying to reflect the style and other components that will be part of his repertoire of performer and composer. She still writes music but from his garage, trying again to impose itself on the stage but starting from the bottom, from direct contact with the public, in his home town and in neighbouring ones. She loves one of its landmarks musically: the great rock guitarist and composer Frank Zappa. Therefore, in 1999, some of its demo circulating among the various radio alternative, as well as in some underground musical circuit not only southern, are signed with the "nick" from Zappa, his idol.
Is the period of the popular demo "Ricomincio da Capa" and "Con Caparezza in rubbish", leading to his moment of great success from a creative point of view. Then comes the first real successful disc, released in 2000, titled "?!" and signed up for the first time as Caparezza. The work takes up 12 out of 14 tracks taken from his previous works: a sound still immature and uncouth, half hip-hop and half rock, however already innovative. Gets a good reception from critics and the audience appreciates it and knows it even with the title of "everything", taken from the self-titled album single. The fact that it is a label of thickness to produce it, always attentive to new and original voices, like Virgin Records, confirms his musical rebirth and, if proof were needed, his talent.
Encouraged by this work, in 2003 publishes an entirely new, entitled "Verità supposte", which brings it to the general public. The disc contains songs like "the second opinion" and "Fuori dal tunnel", songs that are also used by many national television stations for their cuts and for the successful format. "Fuori dal tunnel", contrary to the will of the author and to what the same lyrics, soon became a summer hit, used in programs such as "friends of Maria De Filippi" and others like it.
The only format that uses the song Caparezza consent-which indeed appears in the same initials-is Zelig Circus. No denying, however, that the song, and the entire drive, helped a lot to his fame, which grows more and more also thanks to several media outlets. In 2006 comes the third album, "Habemus Capa", supported by other individuals that achieve the same success of "Fuori dal tunnel", as "I come from the Moon" and "Jodellavitanonhocapitouncazzo", both from 2004. Also in the work of the 2006 appear some songs in which there is a clear break from Caparezza of recent times, with Michele Salvemini of the beginnings and the milanese scene Mikimix. Emblematic, excerpts from titles "do you like Capa? But that's the madman at Sanremo! "and" you Mikimix? You said it! ". The 11 April 2008 then, Caparezza's fourth album sees the light, titled "the size of my chaos."
Is tied, even from a commercial point of view, on his first book, "Mental Sagas", which aims to be a kind of soundtrack, or "fonoromanzo" according to your definition. The book comes out in the same month, on April 3 to be exact, and gets top marks. The 1° March of 2011 he released his fifth work titled "heretic", which sees him go from Virgin to the label Universal Music Group. To proclaim the disc, in addition to a series of hits on the web and not only that, there is the single "Goodbye Blues", produced together with the 80 's star Tony Hadley, of Spandau Ballet, broadcast from 28 January 2011. The work, in November of the same year, he won the Platinum. Then in December 2011, Caparezza's special guest in the highly successful format of showman Fiorello, "the greatest show over the weekend."
