Cherilyn Sarkisian La Pierre was born in El Centro, California on May 20, 1946, daughter of actress Jackie Jean Crouch (aka Georgia Holt) and John Sarkisian La Pierre. At 16, he left school and moved to Los Angeles, where she met producer and songwriter Sonny (Salvatore) Bono, of Italian origins, in a bar. Between the two there is immediately a strong bond that soon will become something more than a friendship.
