It is the creator of three of marks "Tod", "Hogan" and "Fay", all synonyms of Italian luxury. Aligned politically with the centre-left, in March of 2006 Diego Della Valle resigned from the Executive Board of Confindustria, following the attack, which Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, in the middle of the election campaign, aimed at the Association Conference. Consequently the scandal to "Calciopoli" the sentences (July 2006) led Fiorentina to serie B with a penalty by 12 points, and inhibition of Diego Della Valle for four years.
Until 2006 was a shareholder and Director of BNL (Banca Nazionale del Lavoro). The following year the Valley acquires a significant number of shares in Piaggio and Bialetti. In May 2009 buys 5.9% share of American luxury department store "Saks Fifth Avenue", valued at $ 30.3 million, becoming the second shareholder. The network of department stores Saks is the main distributor of "made in Italy" on the us market: one year after the Valley shares climb to 7.13 percent. At the end of the month of March 2010 Review resigned from Honorary President of Fiorentina.
