Biography of Gaetano Curreri

Gaetano Curreri was born on 26 June 1952 in Bertinoro (now in the province of Forlì-Cesena). In the late 1960s began working in ballrooms and dance halls of the Modenese, thanks to an encounter with a boy at the time unknown and very young, some Vasco Rossi, with whom he starts a fruitful working relationship and founded one of the first radios in our country, Punto Radio in Bologna.

The first collaborations

In the late seventies is in charge of arrangements of "... Ma cosa vuoi che sia una canzone ... " (released in 1978) and "we're not Americans" (released in 1979), namely the first two discs of Vasco Rossi. During the same period he joined, as Chorister and keyboardist, of the Stadium, an accompanying band of Lucio Dalla, on the eve of the tour "Banana Republic" that sees the bolognese singer joined by Francesco De Gregori.

Yet again collaboration with Verdone ("I wish" was part of the soundtrack of the comedy "the two carabinieri") anticipates the departure of band Connie Lam. In 1986 the Group again in Sanremo with "songs on the radio": again, does not go beyond the last place. The album of the same name, released shortly after, including "absolute nightmare" written by Roberto "Freak" Antoni, and "Monday Cinema", long opening Monday night book "Lunedifilm", proposed by Raiuno on the occasion of the transmission of great films. The years ' 90 and 2000

The years 2010

In 2011 Curreri composes with Saverio Grandi the music for the song "Brussels sprouts", whose text is written by Federica Nargi e Costanza Caracciolo, which is interpreted by Gabibbo. In the same year the Stadium issued the album "Diamonds and candy", within which there is "the promise", a song that is attended by Noemi. In 2012, Gaetano Curreri takes the stage of the Sanremo Festival right beside the Roman singer to sing with her in the song "just words", before taking part in various stages of his "RossoNoemi Tour".
