The singer John of tuna, known by his stage name Giò Di Tonno, was born in Pescara on August 5, 1973. Early starts to approach the music: just eight years studying piano. During the years of high school his passion for music brings him closer to the figure of the singer-songwriter, as a poet who tells singing. In the only Italian date of one of the Queens of soul world, Dionne Warwick, the March 25, 2006 in Vicenza, tuna opened his concert.
In December 2006 receives the prestigious "Dante Alighieri". In April 2007 participates in shooting of the third series of the television drama "a case of conscience" (directed by Luigi Perelli) where John is the protagonist – along with Sebastiano Somma-an episode in which he plays the lead singer Danko. For the bet released a song of the soundtrack written by Maurizio Solieri, American historian of Vasco Rossi. The fiction is then transmitted on Rai Uno in September 2007. In 2007 she plays two characters doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the musical "Jekyll & Hyde" produced by Teatro Stabile d'Abruzzo and Who Mamò. He sings also in musical fairy tale "the ogre" by Giorgio Bernabò, show that sees the participation of Antonella Ruggiero and Patrizia Laquidara. Paired with the singer Lola Ponce participated in the Festival di Sanremo 2008: the couple WINS by presenting the song "Colpo di fulmine", written by Gianna Nannini.
