Biography of Jelena Dokic
Jelena Dokić was born in Osijek (Yugoslavia) on April 12, 1983. Naturalised Australian, is professional tennis player since 1998. Arrives in Australia in 1994 with his family because of the Yugoslav civil war. In 2001, in disagreement with the Organization of the Australian Open, back to Belgrade where Serbian-Montenegrin nationality decides to take, while remaining Australian town. In 2005 returned to Australia and decided to return to play under that flag. Later in 2009 will declare not to go along with his father and that they no longer intend to continue living with him: prove finally that escape from the father is due to abuses that these would have perpetrated in its damage.
