Marcello Dell'Utri was born on 11 September 1941 in Palermo. After obtaining the maturity in the Sicilian capital, he moved to Milan to study law at University, where he came into contact with Silvio Berlusconi: after graduating, in 1964 became its Secretary, and at the same time trains the football club Torrescalla, sponsored by the same Berlusconi. The following year he moved to Rome, where at the International Center for Youth Worker directs the Elis Sports Group on behalf of Opus Dei. Back in Palermo, he became Director of the Athletic sports Bacigalupo: during this period, he met Gaetano Celso and Vittorio Mangano, mafiosi of Cosa Nostra. Entered the Cassa di Risparmio delle Province Sicily, first in Catania and then in Belmonte Mezzagno, becomes in 1973 Director General of agricultural credit service Sicilcassa, in Palermo. During his parliamentary activities, will present only two DDL: one concerning the protection of minors who are victims of violence, and the other concerning a reform of the rules relating to the dairy industry. In 1999, having bargained a sentence of two years and three months in prison in the trial in Turin, he was elected to the European Parliament to Italy Force: in five years, will be co-signer of nine parliamentary questions and motions for resolutions. In 2001 Dell'Utri became a member of the Organizing Committee of national review "book town" held in Campi Salentina, Lecce, and was elected Senator in 1 College of Milan.
