Psychopath who murdered from Utah to Florida at least thirty women, Ted Bundy, before he was arrested, he was a member for a long time in that category of unsuspected that have always given harder to law enforcement. Ted Bundy was leading a quiet life and retreat, no particular vicious inclinations and his face from heckling or good guy has contributed for a long time to keep him out of the loop. I'm at the bottom still to investigate the deep reasons of his murderous impulses.
Of course Ted's childhood was not the more normal. Born on November 24, 1946 in Burlington in an institution for unwed mothers in Vermont, just born into the world is "downloaded" from the mother who abandoned him at the Institute, only to repent and come back to pick it up, but with good thinking to pose as her older sister. Later, in fact, the child will always refer to grandparents, in the belief that they were the parents. It seems that the reason for this behavior was dictated by the desire to avoid scandals within the small town where the family lived, as the natural father was an air force officer who disappeared after he impregnated the mother of Ted. Only in 1969 when he returned to Vermont to look for his birth certificate, he discovered his true parentage.
It was not a discovery without consequences. The mother in 1950 he moved to Tacoma, Washington, where she married John Bundy, a guy just discharged from the Navy at that time had found work as a cook. John's efforts to get close to Ted, already rather closed, were numerous. But the boy didn't want to learn to relate to the new husband of "sister" within him has always considered the grandfather as his real father and as a real reference point. At that time, also, Ted began to develop a clear obsession for women, coming to spy on them and to make excessive use of pornographic material. At school he was a model student and seemed perfectly integrated, thanks to his athletic body and her looks anything but unpleasant.
His first important relationship is with the sweet Stephanie Brooks, first conquered with the EIB ways then, after the first academic failures, abandoned. Then begin to appear the first strong signals of uneasily of Bundy, namely the inability to establish relationships and to complete projects of any kind. Also begins the usual series of countless jobs left or lost. It begins as a humble Assistant in a hotel, then it becomes a full time volunteer for Art Fletcher, a black Republican candidate for Governor. In 1973 tries to give a turning point in his life: try to regularize and enrolled at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Faculty of law.
Find some interesting and prestigious job, at least compared to the previous ones, but the balance so much sought his emotions impact holding little disturbed. Seattle was a quiet town until 4 January 1974 when it was the scene of hideous sexual murders committed, according to initial provision of local police, by the same hand. His modus operandi, say investigators, is always the same. But as the dual? You will find then went to victims by pretending to be a poor student in trouble and after being stunned, the loaded into his car, took her in an isolated place, raped and then killed. Halfway through the month of June of 1974 seven girls disappeared into thin air, in addition to the four that already had been massacred at parteire since January. After long and fruitless searches finally Ted Bundy is formally charged and jailed in Colorado in 1975, largely thanks to some witnesses. Unfortunately, unbelievable but true, soon after he managed to escape and settled in Florida where, in one night, slay two girls and wounds three.
His last victim was an innocent little girl of eleven years that Ted stole in front of the school, raped and killed. The following week was again caught by the police, arrested, and despite his claims of innocence (then reprocessed in some interviews), he was sentenced and conducted on death row. Ted Bundy died in the electric chair on January 24, 1989. His body was cremated and his ashes scattered in the mountains of the falls, to Washington, the same place the scene of many of his crimes. Theodore Robert Bundy confessed twenty-eight murders, but some estimates indicated that probably killed by thirty-three hundred victims during the Suns ' 70.
