Biography of Thomas De Gasperi

Thomas De Gasperi and Matteo Maffucci (son of Hayden, town Manager Rai), i.e. the absolute Zero, born 24 June 1977 and respectively on 28 May 1978 in Rome. The two know each other at school, the liceo classico statale "Giulio Cesare" of capital: subsequently engage together in music, and especially in rap, with the song "two to one zero", which is part of the compilation "born to rap vol. 2".

Absolute zero: the debut

In 1999 you released their debut single, titled "Last new year's Eve," in which he performed, also Chef Ragoo: the music video for the song features the participation of some Roma players, including Francesco Totti. After the single "Zeta", in 2001 it was the turn of "as I please", whose video was played by Sarah Felberbaum. In 2002 Thomas and Matthew started a collaboration with producers Henry Dreamed and Danilo Pao, while the following year released the singles "How are you" and "Maybe not."

Tv, radio and the first disk

In 2004 the Zero Assoluto debuts in the television program "third floor, B", broadcast on Hit Channel, and take part in the radio program of Rtl 102.5 "Suite 102.5", also broadcast by Rtl 102.5 Television. During the same period they released single "half an hour", which precedes the release of "come down", the first record of absolute Zero, which also includes "How are you" and "less", in addition to the new single "Minimalismi".

The first successes of Thomas De Gasperi and Matthew Marfucci

In 2005, excluded from the "Festival di Sanremo" for which they had proposed the song "Simply", Thomas De Gasperi and Matteo Maffucci hark back with interest earning double platinum because of that single, reaching the second place in the standings and remains on the list for thirty weeks. The following year they manage, however, to take the stage of the Ariston Theatre, where-for category Groups mean piece "Svegliarsi la mattina", allowing them to get among the eight finalists of the event singing contest. The individual gets three times Platinum, staying in the top ten in sales for twenty-five weeks and ranked first for two months: it will be the biggest selling single in Italy in 2006. In summer, the absolute Zero are taking part in the "Festivalbar" with the song "Sei parte di me", which, in addition to guaranteeing them the "revelation of the year" Italia1, gets double platinum, reaching the first place in sales. Subsequently De Gasperi and Maffucci collaborated with Nelly Furtado on the track "All Good Things (Come to an End)", which is part of his album "Loose", then propose "Just before you leave" for the "Festival di Sanremo" of 2007. Chosen as contestants of Liguria, Duet with same Furtado on the stage of the Ariston.

The second album

After Sanremo, the absolute Zero released their second album, titled "just before we left," which includes eight unpublished besides "Sei parte di me", "waking up in the morning" and "simply": the 100 thousand copies sold from the album worth the recognition of Platinum. From the album will be retrieved even the single "better off", at the beginning of "Zero Assoluto Live", the tour that brings the two young Romans throughout Italy, with over forty concerts. Since October of 2007, the two present "anything goes", while a month later broadcast by Mtv quiz is posted on dvd "Zero Assoluto Extra", within which there are all the video clip of the duo. Meanwhile, the songs "Quello che mi davi tu", "simply" and "sitting here," an excerpt from "just before we left," are chosen to be part of the soundtrack of "Scusa ma ti chiamo amore", based on the eponymous book by Federico Moccia, which also contains a scene recorded during a concert of absolute Zero. In 2008 Matthew Maffucci and Thomas De Gasperi leave Rtl 102.5 to land on R101, where the program "from Zero to 101", while in France and Germany is released the single "Win or Lose (just before you leave)", namely the international version of the track proposed in Sanremo with Nelly Furtado.

Subsequent albums

After the publication of the book "under a rain of words-finely scribbled notes of a disk", the two record "under a rain of words", their third album, preceded by the single "To forget", which becomes a gold record. In 2010 the absolute Zero perform the soundtrack for the film by Federico Moccia "sorry but I want to marry", and the following year affect "get lost", their fourth album, preceded by the single "strange" this summer. In 2014 released their fifth album, "at the end of the day, preceded by single" suddenly "and" enough is enough ". In 2015, Matthew becomes one of the commentators of the transmission "TvTalk", broadcast on Saturday afternoons on Raitre. On 13 December of the same year it was announced that the absolute Zero will participate as competitors to the 2016 Edition of "Festival di Sanremo", where the song "me and you ".
