Definition of adjustment

The term setting, generally and in most of the contexts in which it can be applied always refers to the same thing, the union, adaptation or accommodation of one thing on another that is closely linked to the first and thereby allows the correct operation, whether of a mechanical part which is located in the engine of the car, allowing that you start , either, in a completely different context, as it can be the table of dialogue between a Trade Union which represents the interests of a particular group of workers with the Government, the agreement in favour of an adjustment, for example, involves and serves to discuss the agreement reached and the end point to discrepancies that were in issue between them. Adjustment, then, is a widely studied and relationship needed to be present in precision mechanics, since as we anticipate above, the coupling between two key pieces that belong to a team or industrial machine will depend on the life of this.
Mechanical to be adjustment will need an axis on the one hand and one hole on the other, that match, course, as a condition sine qua non, for this will bring to fruition the coupling between the two parts. Meanwhile, conversely, any of these exceeds the extent, both pieces not can in no way be adjusted, but to prevent that from happening this last situation is that there are ISO standards that control and set the tolerances in this regard. By extension, these same guidelines focus towards other areas of technology, as it is the case with information technology. Thus, not only is fundamental adjustment when we consider the mechanisms involved with the proper placement of a circuit, a chip or a peripheral on a computer, but also when trying to harmonize the implementation of a programme for a given operating system. In this way, "set" environments that allow a classical program of operating system Windows running on a computer that works with Linux, among other situations.
In another, the concept of adjustment is also portable to the biological sciences. Physiological adjustments are part of the reality of millions of living beings, in particular in the context of the changing environmental conditions (climate, humidity, the number of predators...). A slightly more specific, human medicine indicates an adjustment when intends to modify drug therapy. In these cases, the adjustment is often called degree; so, when the dosage of a product is inadequate, indicated the adjustment to the route of administration, the recommended daily amount or frequency of use of that particular drug.
On the other hand, the word setting, also occupies a prominent place in economic issues, although in this context, their application, even if it has that effect or purpose, has a generally negative connotation, since it is used to refer to the economic policy that many Governments have implemented, and which has resulted in the contraction of the salaries and wages of public workers to reduce the fiscal deficit the fearsome "cuco" of most of the world's economies, by the way. The adjustment processes often mark the history citizen of a nation, especially when the consequences reach to raise unemployment rates, credit interest rates and other indicators that cause a detrimental impact on the population.
As we can see, setting is part of the most different processes (everyday and not so much) of the lives of the people, so their knowledge is integrated into the tools with which we have to improve many parameters of our reality.
