Definition of dome

The dome is a very recurrent architectural construction in areas such as the cloisters, or in buildings such as cathedrals and underground galleries, among others, and is characterized by a shape in arc that will cover the space between two walls or between several pillars. It is normally made from bricks, cement, adobe, among other materials, and its purpose is the cover the space between the two walls. There are vaults designed in certain buildings which by its design, relevance of the same and longevity are authentic monuments that tourists can't visit if they attend that city on which are erected, as the Cathedral Santa María de Toledo, in Spain.
On the other hand, worth noting also that in our language the concept is used widely to refer to that floor underground, at the behest of a church, or also to place underneath the surface and traditionally used for the deceased.
In some parts of the world of Spanish-speaking, for example in the Argentina, the word Vault is particularly associated with those enclosures that are located in cemeteries and intended for the rest of the dead. The particularity of these places is that they will rest the remains of all those persons of a family who have died in a vault. It tends to be a fairly common practice, particularly of the more traditional families, who purchase a vault in a cemetery and then there the remains of the deceased members of the family staying.
The Recoleta cemetery, which undoubtedly is one of the most recognized and famous cemeteries in the Argentina, many traditional families have a vault there. Located in the Recoleta neighbourhood justly, and owner of a unique classic design, also houses the remains of many notable country personalities such as Bartolomé Mitre, Juan Bautista Alberdi, Victoria Ocampo, Raúl Alfonsín, among others.
It is worth mentioning that acquired such as any other property and obviously the owner of the same family must pay monthly maintenance as well also take charge of arrangements, reform, etc.
