Definition of equations

The word equations is the plural of the Word equation.
Meanwhile, equation, at the behest of mathematics, refers to that equality which contains one or more unknowns. Equality is established between algebraic expressions, called members, which contains known values which are called data and unknown, called unknowns, which interact through mathematical operations.
The data can be embodied by numbers, ratios, or constants and variables, whose magnitudes have been established as a result of other operations. On the other hand, the unknowns, almost always represented by letters, are values that are intended to find. An example will allow better understanding of the issue... an example of very simple equation is as follows:
5 + x = 9
Here the data are 5 and 9 and x represents the unknown, meanwhile, the equation be solved in the following way...
5 + x = 9
x = 9 - 5
x = 4
Then, the value of the unknown, therefore the resolution of this very simple equation is 4.
But the term equation not only holds this reference which is the most well known and widespread of all, but is also in the field of chemistry, an equation the symbolic expression of a chemical reaction that indicates the relative amounts of reactants and products.
On the other hand, in astrology, an equation will be the difference between the average movement and the real or apparent presenting an astro.
And finally, in the current, colloquial language, the term equation commonly used for refer formulas or calculations that will involve several variables, which can be understood through the following expression: if I renew my wardrobe full and not they increase salary at work, then the equation will not work, since I will not have a way to deal with these costs.
