Meaning and Definition of Trust

Definition of trust

Believe that something is so, or someone to behave is such or which mode

Confidence is a quality of living beings that believe and have assurance that a situation is in a certain way, or that a person will act in certain way. Confidence means security in oneself and others since it implies the belief that certain results or consequences will be achieved in certain situations. The trust then relates a feeling that sets their sights on a future action that has not yet happened, and about which there is no empirical certainty.
The trust is one of the qualities of living things, especially animals and humans. Although animals trust appears not as conscious but as something instinctive, human trust can generate in a conscious and voluntary way from the presence of elements, experiences or situations which vary in each individual. Confidence implies some work and effort to be aware of it, human beings must be on security situation in which what it says will happen.

Do we trust?

Generally, we tend to rely on that or those who show us kindness, skills and loyalty, and therefore not trust in something or someone that not to be displayed in this way and further generate us doubts as misleading or cheats in any sense.
Meanwhile, this belief that we developed is based normally on presumptions arising from previous events, i.e. on facts that happened previously and in which that person had such a right and positive performance and then it is assumed that it will remain so in the future.

Blind eye with confidence

It is, however, important that let us underline that we should never us relax in this regard despite the fact that certain facts or people generate us confidence, because sometimes overconfidence on something, someone and even in one same can lead to disappointments.
Think of confidence that sometimes we put in us when it comes to carry out certain activity and then it makes us not to prepare as it is and we feel we already winners, but suddenly, someone prepared more and ready ends up beating us. At this point we must have absolute care. Very well is that trust in what we can do but always must be vigilant and prepared so that we do not pass.
The same goes for the others, sometimes it can happen that we rely much on friends, family, coworkers, among others, and suddenly someone disappoints us doing something that hurts us a lot. This state of affairs it is known popularly as abuse of trust, and we must say that it is very common to happen, so that to always be vigilant and less than not have an absolute certainty should not give blank checks to anyone.
The notion of trust can be used in individual as well as in sociological terms terms. This is because trust can appear in each individual in a different way, in some of the more evident than in others. The presence of high levels of confidence that an individual may have about himself makes that person more easily reaches their goals than a person who has no self-confidence and that doubt about their capabilities. The development of the appropriate level of confidence in an individual is clearly linked to a large number of phenomena such as experiences, the context of breeding, personality, the environment that surrounds it, etc.
However, the trust term also applies to social level because it is a virtue that the human being establishes not only about himself but also about others and implies a deep familiarity in the interpersonal treatment. Thus, trust in co-workers and peers is one of the basic and most important for the development of a level of proper living.

Intimacy and familiarity

On the other hand the word trust is used a lot in our language as a synonym of familiarity and intimacy with others. When there is a profound friendly relationship between persons often overflow the confidence of each other and then there is itching to share moments of intimate, domestic or expose certain situations that in public would not know.
