Vin Diesel biography

A healthy mind in a healthy body

July 18, 1967
Born in New York on 18 July 1967, Vin Diesel (whose original name is Mark Vincent Sinclair III) is an American film actor, screenwriter, producer and Director who has reached the worldwide success in the early 2000s, by virtue of his participation as a performer in "Fast and furious". Born in the Big Apple from Dominican mother (but with Sicilian origin) and unknown father, Diesel grows from an early age in a multicultural atmosphere and (the mum's astrologer and psychiatrist): he will describe, often in interviews, as "a person of different ethnicities". Grew up with Paul, his twin brother, and the other two his siblings Samantha and Tim, the little Vincent meets the world of acting for the first time in just seven years, on the occasion of a play which takes part, "Dinosaur Door", staged at the theater in New York's Greenwich Village.
In fact, the contact with the stage originally is not the happiest, as Vin is forced to be part of this play for children together with some friends and his twin brother only as punishment for having damaged the structure of the theater some time soon. The performance in front of the audience, however, fascinates the small Diesel to such an extent that he want to start studying acting. The passion for acting, as well, continued over the years until, during their college years, Vincent begins to write screenplays. In the early 1990s, therefore, Diesel is dedicated with enthusiasm to the task, making a film-maker in every respect and doing the first appearances as an extra: in 1990, "Awakening", covers the negligible role of a janitor in a hospital.
A few years later, comes the turning point: in 1994, in fact, Vin Diesel and screenwriter directs "facial", a short film that, despite its budget (just over $ 3,000) screened at the Cannes Film Festival the following year. It was at this time that the plaintiff assumes the name of Vin Diesel: to make ends meet, Vincent worked as a bouncer in a nightclub in the Big Apple, the "Tunnel" in an environment where it is customary to call themselves to nicknames. And so, Vin Diesel comes from the abbreviation of Vincent, his real name, and nickname Diesel, with which his friends spoke to refer to its strength and its unbridled energy. In 1997, Diesel manages to direct the first real feature film: "Strays," a dramatic film that depicts the tragic existence of the boss of a gang. The film, in fact, gets a hit off decidedly modest, yet it Mtv decided to make a tv series. The following year, Diesel meets the cinema with "c" capitalized.
Steven Spielberg has got to see his "facial" and was impressed: he decided to call him to assume the role of the military Caparzo in "saving private Ryan". Spielberg want Diesel to such an extent that I did add specially her part in the script after it is signed. In the late 1990s, riding with the new millennium, for Vin get calls increasingly important: not only the dubbing of "the iron giant" animated film of 1999, but also the role to co-star in "1 kilometer from Wall Street".
Is the 2000: in the same year, Diesel plays sci-fi space Riddick, criminal "Pitch black", low-budget film that becomes a cult within a few months. The following year, 2001, is that of planetary consecration: Diesel plays Dominic Toretto in the bustling "Fast and furious", which only in the United States takes in something like two hundred million dollars. At this point the actor, now one of the jewels of Hollywood, can afford to choose scripts that prefers, selecting only those that like really: and so in 2002 plays Xander Cage, a secret agent in "xXx", but refuses to be part of the sequel to "the Fast and the furious 2 fast 2 furious", "". Similarly, you declined the offer to be part of the sequel to "xXx". Participates in the sequel to "Pitch black," "The chronicles of Riddick" and "Solver" film from script underrated by critics, in which Diesel plays Vetter, a policeman. After refusing a participation in "Doom", in 2005 the actor becomes the protagonist of "the pacifier", film that combines action, car chases and irony, designed especially for family audiences: its intention, in fact, is to shake off tough-guy stereotype, and prove to be able to play different roles.
And so, in 2006 the call comes for "trying to frame me," Sidney Lumet film in which plays the role of Giacomo "Jackie" By Norscio: Diesel, showing considerable skill to quick, plays a character fatter and older than him, very far from the stereotype of hard which has used its audience. The critic approves his performance, but the film does not convince the public, and withdrawals are modest. After a cameo in "The fast and The furious: Tokyo drift", Diesel is dedicated to the activities of producers, and is dedicated to "Hitman", taken directly from the video game of the same name that depicts the Agent 47. The title role, initially thought the same Diesel, is then attributed to Timothy Olyphant. The 2008 is the year of "Babylon A.D.", in which a Vin has the role of Toorop, the protagonist, while the 2009 brings another worldwide success with "Fast & furious-original parts only". Dominic Toretto sweeps still the box office, with takings even higher than the previous episodes to convince Diesel to co-produce the fifth episode, entitled simply "Fast & furious 5". Followed by about thirty-two million fans on Facebook, Diesel is a real fan of role-playing game "Dungeons & Dragons" to the point of writing the preface of the book "30 years of adventure: a celebration of Dungeons & Dragons".
Father of a daughter, Hania Riley, had by the model Paloma Jimenez, in Italy the plaintiff was voiced by Massimo Corvo (in "Pitch black," "the pacifier," "The chronicles of Riddick," "Babylon A.D." and "Fast and furious" series), by Francesco Pannofino ("xXx", "try to frame me" and "Solver"), by Valerio Lot ("knockaround"), by Nanni Baldini (1 kilometer from "Wall Street") and Pasquale Anselmo (in "saving private Ryan"). Ripped, hard and deep voice, Diesel has been for years the classic gorilla of big screen, a Van Damme less skilled in martial arts or a Steven Seagal bald. His merit was to free themselves in time from the stereotype that Hollywood was gluing on him, finding different productions that allowed him to showcase his versatility as an actor. Although it seems hard to believe, Diesel is an intellectual with muscles.
