What is the Meaning & Definition of epic


A gesture is the set of feats that a character takes place, or failing that a village. They tend to be the conquered adverse scenarios, which were very difficult to obtain a victory, a priori that normally determine a situation or a fact, then, be considered as a gesture.
Also, in the popular language, is often used the term when you want to give an account of the huge attainment reached either by an individual, an organization, one company, among others. Beat the English team visitors and the general public against, was a real gesture by the Argentine team.
On the other hand, the Chanson de Geste is the name which referred to the epic written during the middle ages, or failing that extensive literary manifestation that belongs to the epic genre, in which narrates the various exploits of a hero that, as such, represented those virtues which the peoples or communities of the middle ages were considered ideal or models.
It was quite common that between centuries XI and XII, the minstrels, spread them orally as a consequence of illiteracy which took precedence in the society of that time. They used to have a length varying between two and twenty thousand verses, though most often was that they not exceeded four thousand verses. Many times, the Chanson de Geste in question should be read by the minstrel in several days by the extension mentioned above.
The Cantar del Mio Cid is an example of the Chanson de Geste; it recounts the heroic deeds carried out by the Castilian Knight Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, El Cid, with a mission to regain the trust of King Alfonso VI, who had promptly banished it from Castilla.
