What is the Meaning & Definition of gateway

The word Gateway indicates that rather small bridge, which is normally located in the cities over a river or body of water and that's mission is to connect two parts of the city in question, for example two districts or towns. In Spain and France, to name some cases, we can find such a connective structure.
Now, even though it is derived from the newly exposed sense, it is not for nothing more recurrent use much less, but the most widespread use that is given to the word gateway in our language found it in the field of fashion, where so called long and narrow corridor through which the models parade clothing shoes, hairstyles, and accessories, among other issues.
The footbridge in the field of fashion shows is as important as they are the models and collections that parade, because it is thanks to this that we can appreciate satisfactorily all that is the subject of the parade.

For example, military parades often have gateways through which the soldiers will parade.
On the other hand, in airports or ports, gateways are a common element, since they consist of mobile structures that are placed at the doors of a plane or a boat then passengers to move through them and thus enter the ships.
